Community Awareness

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

However, Personal Development Center sponsors various awareness activities and fundraising events throughout the year to help support Domestic Violence and supportive services in our community.

Sheltering Hearts

This event is held annually in February to raise money for direct services to participants. The event holds something for everyone; a meal, silent auction, musical entertainment, and the opportunity to learn more about domestic violence.

"Walk a Mile In Their Shoes"

This event is held annually in Clark County to help support our outreach program. Community members make a commitment to bring awareness to the ever growing problem of domestic violence. Walkers slip into women's shoes, carry signs, and walk down Main Street in Neillsville and then gather a program.

Community Education

We welcome the opportunity to speak with community groups and organizations about domestic violence and the services we offer to victims and their children.
